The sun was just rising over pallet town and Ash was well on his way to putting his plan into practice. He had made it back to the place where him and Misty had first met by the river where she fished him out. He will always remember that moment for the rest of his life. This place he felt held that little extra bit of significance to him and her and today was something special in its own right. He may have not left a note well maybe he did but it was a different type of note well trail for her to follow and then she would get her surprise.
~~~
Back at the Ketchums residence Mr.Mime was already up and tidying the mess that Ash left behind him when he left. He came up against a plate of food that was left on the living room table fortunately there was a note to him saying that it was for Misty so he didnt clear it away and think that it was something that Ash had left behind him. The sunlight shone through the window and into the living room lighting up Mistys face and showing her beautifully fire red shiny hair that lay framing her face.
Hmm Misty mumbled, Uh She had just felt the warm light of the sun on her face as she opened her eyes those aquamarine eyes that captivated Ashs gaze every time he looked at her. Rubbing them she poked the lump next to her, Ash you awake? she said to the lump not realising that it was far too small for it to be Ash she got a shocking reaction from someone quite shocking themselves.
Piiiikachuuuuuu Pikachu shocked Misty thinking that it was Ash.
Oh sorry Pikachu Misty said while trying to brush some of the soot of from her pyjamas.
Huh? What happened here? Delia said as she came down the stairs to see the scene that was being played out in front of her, but before she got an answer Misty was asking a question of her own.
Um wheres Ash? Misty was looking around the room frantically trying to see where he was when she saw the 2 slices of toast on the table in front of her. Then she saw the crumbs that were on the table next to the plate and thought the worst she could think in the world.
I dont know dear, but I think those pieces of toast there are for you left by Ash wherever he has gone Delia said looking puzzled and trying to figure out where he could have gone herself but then remembering what day it was she had a clue where he could have gone.
Im going out Misty had decided to go and look for Ash and ask him what he was thinking by going out and not leaving a note How could he be so thoughtless She thought, Worrying me to death you wait till I get my hands on him.
Misty picked up one of the 2 pieces of toast and ran upstairs to get changed and then she rushed out the door but before she even got past the front gate she saw a sign with her name on it and an arrow pointing towards Viridian city. Hmmmm could that be what I think it is Misty thought but she hadnt even clocked what day it was and what it means to her and Ash. She decided to follow the sign and she left walking at a very high speed following each and every sign she came to along the way with ever growing worry where Ash could be and wonder where he could be this early in the morning. She kept on thinking what he could be up to and then as she thought carefully she stopped dead in her tracks in the middle of the road. She took a short gasp and slapped her hand over her mouth at the realisation of what day it was and where she was being led back to. She picked up her pace after being rooted to the spot for at least a minute or two. She was now running frantically towards the place still following each sign with a smile on her face this time. Her hair was flowing freely behind her going up and down as she took each step further forward to her destination. She stopped and looked up to see a very familiar face looking back at her with a very big grin on his face.
Surprise! Ash shouted for joy as he saw her arrive.
